What does TANZZLE mean?

Tanzzle is a trademark owned by Kromasoft. The name derives from the popular TANGRAM game and the word PUZZLE.

Why are you saying Tanzzle Software is UNIQUE?

There are many applications which allow to play Tangram on the computer, BUT only Tanzzle software is able to CREATE and deal with an ENDLESS amount of patterns.
Does Tanzzle actually contain ONE BILLION of silhouettes?

Tanzzle software doesn’t contain pre-built silhouettes. It generates randomly new patterns or recover saved ones in its own TZL format (as from the Galleries). The number of silhouettes which can be represented with the TZL format is actually much larger than one billion, practically ENDLESS.
How can I display the figures in the GALLERIES?

You need first to download the TZLview freeware. It is completely free and can be used independently from the Tanzzle shareware. Once installed TZLview on your PC, you can display all the patterns (both silhouette and solution) in the TZL format.
What is the TZL format?

TZL is the main format for the Tanzzle software. It’s a simple way to store the information needed to build the pattern of any silhouette.
What is the TZX format?

TZX is a format of the Tanzzle software. It’s a bitmap-like format for storing the information of a silhouette. It DOES NOT contain the information to rebuild the pattern, that is you cannot recover the solution from a TZX file. Therefore, be aware to get ONLY genuine TZX files (as downloading the Silhouette of the Day). You can go mad trying to solve faked TZX files.
